Prorject: Mooncircle's FInest Ego Faces 12" series Vol.2 is out today! This release features two extraordinary producers Daisuke Tanabe and Mike Gao. The above video, Mike Gao's "Run Before You Wake" is a nice incentive to go out and support. Run, kill, rush, do whatever you need to do to get your hands on this very limted vinyl. You won't be disappointed. Go!!!

A favorite of ours, Mo Kolours, is getting ready to drop EP number two titled Banana Wine. Above is a teaser video showing glimpses of him at work. It is also soundtracked by EP cut Temi which you can download from HERE for FREE. The big question is where the hell can I grab a bottle
of Banana Wine?

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is bubblegum to the 10th degree, but with a big 70s influence. This girls voice is super distinct, which is a good or bad thing depending how many times you listen to the album.  I will say...they may be trying to be retro-cooool, but I give them props for reaching back.  They do get the party started. Where do I know her voice from...?

Evian Christ - Kings and Them

Evian Christ 'got the swag sauce he dripping swagu.' This track and all of the tracks on Evian's "Kings And Them Mixtape" are aggressively attempting to merge elements of electronic, house, juke, and hip-hop and doing a pretty good job of it.

J£ZUS MILLION - That Heat

DAMN! I mean come on man...the future truly belongs to the young and I honestly can't wait to see what they continue to do with it. J£ZUS MILLION is only 17 and he's already bringing that fire, that flame, "THAT HEAT." This track is out of this stratosphere good. One listen to his Soundcloud page will leave you a fan and a BELIEVER. Enjoy this track and keep an eye out for this kid.

Rhye - Open

I'm really in love with Spotify. With every update I fall deeper into love with the app. They make it so easy to discover and share new music. Rhye was one of the recent groups I was lucky enough to stumble upon while I had Spotify running in the office last week. Such an amazingly chill and understated EP. There sound reminds me almost of a three-way tie between Sade, Brazilian Girls, and Everything but the Girl. Supposedly Rhye consists of two members from two other well know groups though those "well know groups" are at the time unknown. You can listen to Rhye on Spotify HERE or purchase it fron iTunes HERE.

Unlooped Vs. Dilla - See You Cry

Last year Unlooped created a new series called ‘Versus.’ ‘Versus’ is a series where Unlooped gathers different Milwaukee artists together to take on and re-interpret a major, influential artist’s music catalog with an electronic twist. The first show in this series was Unlooped vs. Dilla, which debuted September 17, 2011.  Unlooped vs. Dilla, inspired by Miguel Atwood Ferguseon’s Suite For Ma Dukes, brought together a string quartet, electronic producer, and DJ to create a unique take on the productions of the late, great J Dilla.

February 7th was Dilla's Birthday which should have been a national holiday. There I said it! We should've all had off to do nothing but chill, appreciate life, and listen to and celebrate the music and life of Mr. J. Dilla. The Unlooped vs. Dilla Ensemble released the first single from their forthcoming EP called “See You Cry” which is a stellar re-interpretation of Dilla's Don't Cry. You can download the track HERE for FREE.99!

Union - Analogtronics

Union consists of two hip-hop, electro underground producers from Paris. OJ is a Dilla obsessed, drum machine beat junkie - Gold is fascinated by Herbie Hancock, dusty keyboards and modern synths. Their musical differences combined create the perfect juxtaposition of sounds. The album is filled with abstract, melodic beats featuring a handful of guests such as MF DOOM, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, and Guilty Simpson. This album is super refreshing and has been on steady repeat since I got it.

If the album wasn't enough, Fatbeats and Union are kind enough to offer up "Digital Delight" ft. Guilty Simpson HERE has a free digital download and a remix of "Coco Mango" ft. MF DOOM (Damu The Fudgemunk Remix) to stream HERE.

9th Wonder

When I think of hip hop 9th Wonder comes to mind.  He's worked with Jay-Z, Drake and Erykah Badu, just to name a few. 9th's got a smooth and soulful production style that brings things back to simple. His newest album, "The Wonder Years" is one of my favorite albums from 2011, which I've played every day since its release...it's that good.  I figured I would share the love in hopes you get hooked (if you aren't already). This album is damn sexy and a serious work of art.
