I’ve stumbled upon Marilyn Minter’s work from Clayton’s fantastic Tumblr. I was just in NY and went to see some of Marilyn’s work at Salon 94 and was pretty impressed. She blurs the line of high art and eroticism – when in all reality – these two subjects have always danced closely with one another. Today we look at them with a different lens. In some respects, dare I say, we are further repressed now then say two hundred years ago. Sexually repressed.
The images she’s been recently exploring are stunning, sexual, liquid, juicy. Some of them cross over into economic territory as well.
Spend some time and look through some of her work and by all means watch green pink caviar.
