Buy this album now! Seriously good stuff from this relatively unknown band out of Brooklyn. I discovered Arpline while reading Phantogram’s Twitter. The pace, drums and overall pace of this track is simply great. The Album is full of a nice refreshing diversity. Best of all . . . pay what you want for it. One thing is definitely certain – BUY IT.
The image is of my favorite photographer of the moment. Saul Leiter. His color photography has risen to the public’s eye in the last 20 years. He has and was known primarily as a fashion photographer. His color work, shot here and there, is stellar. I love this quote by him. “I spent a great deal of my life being ignored. I was always very happy that way. Being ignored is a great privilege. That is how I think I learnt to see what others do not see and to react to situations differently. I simply looked at the world, not really prepared for anything.”
